About us:

Simply put, 3 Day Respawn is a community of Christian gamers who enjoy 2 things: God and games. We come from many different backgrounds, upbringings and life experiences but we all love Jesus Christ. We are also passionate about video games. In fact, 3DR was started by a video game designer.

We also recognize that the online video game community is in desperate need of the love of Jesus (5 minutes on xbox live will prove this). We are here to provide a safe group of Christians to game with while we become vessels for the Holy spirit to work through online.

What we believe:

We believe the Bible is truth. We believe in the gospel of Jesus Christ. We believe the best way to understand this belief is to read it and ask God to reveal himself to you. Because we have members from many different backgrounds, upbringings and denominations, our members may not agree on everything. However, the message of the gospel as written in the bible is our common thread and it is the family of God that we are all a part of. We are brothers and sisters in Christ.

FAQ:

Do I have to believe everything on the website to be a member?

No. We encourage anyone who wants to join to become a member and participate in activities and events sponsored by 3 Day Respawn.

We welcome non-christians as well. However, be aware that there will be bible/Christianity related discussions, events and values so if you have a problem with this, you may want to find another gaming community.

If I disagree, am I free to debate these things on the website?

No. This is a gaming website and as such we are here to enjoy Christian fellowship and gaming related activities. Because of the tendency for Christians to become entangled in arguments and disagreements among each other, we have a strict rule about public debate on our website. 1 Corinthians 1:10 says "I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought." We are to be united in what we have in common, that we are saved by the grace of God and none are worthy of His favor. Debates about doctrinal beliefs are not allowed and will be removed from the site. Discussions regarding devotions found on the site may be posted but any disputes must be directed to the site admin and not posted publicly.

What is your stance on modding/cheating?

We discourage modding/cheating as described in games/gaming services' ToS (terms of service) agreements and do not facilitate questionable or illegal gaming practices. We are here to have fun and cheating does not lend itself to fun.

What are your rules on language?

We are told in the bible that filthy language is an indication of a worldly lifestyle. Because of this, we discourage cussing. Colossians 3:5-9 "Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. Because of these, the wrath of God is coming. You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. But now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator." We do leave room for grace and understand that we sometimes slip. There is grace for that and as Christians we are forgiven. However, if a member is carelessly using foul language with an unrepentant heart, the matter will be addressed and appropriate action may be taken as deemed by the admin(s). Part of our purpose is to keep each other accountable to our actions.

Is this a competitive website?

Yes and no. Whether you are a competitive gamer or just looking for casual fellowship, we have something for you. We are primarily a community aimed at fellowship in a fun, safe and relaxing environment, however, we also have competitive clans for several popular games. We will also be hosting competitive tournaments complete with great prizes!

What kind of games do you play?

We are not exclusive to any particular console, genre, or game. Again, as Colossians 3:5 says: "Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. Any games which encourage this type of behavior or that may become a stumbling block for our members have no place on our website. Otherwise, if it's fun, we will play it.
